Ziro, April 21: Bringing pride and cheer to the district, the Lower Subansiri Women’s Tug of War team secured a bronze medal at the 4th edition of the Arunachal State Games. The gritty performance, marked by teamwork, determination, and resilience, earned the team a well-deserved spot on the podium, making it a proud moment for the district.
The team, captained by Kago Asung, included talented athletes: Mudang Asung, Mudang Oku, Hage Sonya, Padu Odi, Nada Rinyó, Hibu Numpa, Michi Noompy, Pagoni Dodum, and Tage Rinya. Their efforts were ably coordinated by team manager Nada Tamang and guided under the strategic supervision of coach Padi Kojee.

Their bronze medal finish—securing the 2nd runner-up position—has been widely celebrated by the local community, sports enthusiasts, and supporters across Lower Subansiri.
