Ziro, August 8, 2025:
In a spirited push towards national pride and public hygiene, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and ‘Har Ghar Swachhata’ campaigns were officially launched today at the Mini Secretariat in Ziro. The initiative was inaugurated by Shri Pura Dollo, Zilla Parishad Chairperson of Lower Subansiri district, in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Smti Oli Perme and Executive Engineer Er. Tung Sono of the PHE&WS Department, Ziro Division.
The twin campaigns, which run from August 8 to 15, aim to foster patriotic fervour ahead of Independence Day and promote a cleaner, healthier living environment across households.
While addressing the gathering, ZPC Pura Dollo underscored the importance of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in rekindling patriotic sentiment and encouraging citizens to proudly hoist the national flag. He also stressed the relevance of the Swachhata mission in improving public health through community-driven cleanliness efforts.
Deputy Commissioner Oli Perme called upon all government departments, institutions, and the general public to actively engage in the campaigns. She highlighted the need for collective responsibility in preserving cleanliness and honouring the national flag as symbols of unity and pride.
During the event, national flags were distributed to officials, community leaders, and members of the public, encouraging active participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
The launch programme saw the presence of SDO-Cum-DACO In-charge Hage Tarung, AC Rani Perme, various administrative officers, heads of departments, and other officials.
Both campaigns are set to culminate with the celebration of Independence Day on August 15, 2025.
