Financial Literacy Week Observed with Focus on Women’s Empowerment

Ziro, February 28, 2025: The Financial Literacy Week 2025, themed “Women Empowerment,” was observed at Nani Ayo Myolyi Uru Welfare Society Hall, Old Ziro, on February 28. Organized by the CRISIL Foundation in collaboration with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Itanagar, the program aimed to enhance financial awareness among homemakers, working women, and entrepreneurs.

Starting at 10:30 AM, the event covered key financial aspects, including financial planning, savings, risk management, and credit accessibility. Sessions educated participants on government schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana (PMJJY), Atal Pension Yojana, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), and Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

With the motto “Investing in Women, Investing in the Future,” the event emphasized financial independence as a driver of economic growth. Experts from CRISIL Foundation and RBI Itanagar engaged with participants, providing insights into financial inclusion and empowerment.

The program underscored the importance of financial literacy in ensuring economic security and informed decision-making, reinforcing that empowered women contribute to a stronger financial future for society.
