District Administration Issues 7-Day Ultimatum to Tackle Unauthorized Vending

Hapoli, May 21: In a decisive move to restore public order and ensure pedestrian safety, the District Administration has issued a seven-day ultimatum to shopkeepers involved in unauthorized vending across Hapoli Township. Despite holding valid trading licenses, several shopkeepers have been found encroaching on public spaces—including footpaths and drains—by placing goods and makeshift stalls in front of their establishments.

This unauthorized occupation has led to significant problems such as obstruction of pedestrian movement, traffic congestion, waste accumulation, and unhygienic conditions, thereby disrupting daily life and endangering public health.

The District Administration has directed all violators to remove any encroaching items or structures within seven days. The official notice warns that failure to comply will result in the cancellation of their trading licenses by the competent authority.

Officials emphasized that the measure is necessary to maintain urban infrastructure, hygiene, and accessibility in the township. The public has also been urged to cooperate in keeping public areas clean, organized, and free from obstruction.

The move highlights the District Administration’s firm stance on preserving public spaces and ensuring a safe, orderly environment for all citizens.
