Advocate Lompak Paksok Donates Body to TRIHMS for Medical Research

Naharlagun, Feb 28: In a remarkable act of selflessness, Advocate Lompak Paksok, a renowned social activist from Dumporijo, Upper Subansiri, has posthumously donated his body to the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS), Naharlagun, for academic research.

Paksok, aged around 50, had pledged his body for medical education before his passing on February 27 at approximately 7:45 PM. TRIHMS arranged for the transportation of his body from Dumporijo, with its arrival scheduled at the institute by 2 PM today.

A tribute program will be held at the Anatomy Department of TRIHMS, where faculty members, medical students, and staff will pay their respects. Phase-I MBBS students and faculty have been invited to participate in the solemn occasion.

His body donation will serve as a vital resource for medical students, aiding in the study of human anatomy and surgical procedures. TRIHMS officials expressed their gratitude for his noble gesture, emphasizing its significance in advancing medical science.
